daily survival: beauty products

While fashion is a huge part of my life, I am never totally put together without hair and make-up. Here are my most esteemed beauty products that never fail me :)

Bronzer: MAC Matte Bronze

I have relatively fair skin so this color blends great with my skin-tone. I'm pretty sure it's the second lightest color they have. (P.S. You'll soon see that I am really into my MAC products. I have definitely tried other brands but haven't yet found any other make-up that lasts as long.)

Eyeliner: MAC Carbon using Angled Brush

Hint: If you get the brush just a tiny bit damp before using the Carbon it will stay on much better! Gives a closer, thinner, and more definitive line than using a regular lining pencil.

Lots of brands sell this brush, doesn't have to be MAC! But I do like the thin bristles that they use as opposed to a thicker angle.

Eyeshadow: Pink Hue--Expensive Pink & Trax

Expensive Pink: apply and cover the eyelid for a simply day-time color.

Trax: apply to the crease of the eyelid and blend into Expensive Pink for a day to night transition!

Eyeshadow: Golden Hue--Bronze & Antiqued

Bronze: apply and cover the eyelid for a statement daytime look.

Antiqued: apply to the crease of the eyelid and blend into Bronze for a day to night transition with a smoky, golden look.

Blush: Stila Convertible Color Rose

Adds just the right amount of color to the cheek with a lighter skin-tone. Instead of buying a whole new blush each time you run out, they sell these replacement convertible ones that fit right into the case with a magnet to hold it in! A great, inexpensive way to wear your blush.

Lips: Burt's Bees Nectar Nude & Sweet Pink Lip Gloss

Nectar Nude: blends into almost every shade of lip with a glossy finish.

Sweet Pink: for a bit more color and glossy pop to the lips, but not too pink!

Mascara: DiorShow or Benefit BadGal Lash

DiorShow: This stuff stays on soooo well! Gives tons of volume and really lengthens the lashes.

BadGal Lash: I keep switching back and forth between these two and can never decide which I like better. I might be partial to this brush though because it's great for separating the lashes while elongating.

Hair Conditioner: Pantene Pro-V Moisture Renewal

My hair stylist is constantly insisting that I use salon shampoo and conditioner for my hair instead of the store-bought kind. I really have to disagree on this one though. Both the Moisture Renewal shampoo and condition from Pantene Pro-V have done wonders for my hair! I don't think I'll ever go back...

Hair Styling Products: Bed Head Ego Boost & After Party

Bed Head Ego Boost: Use two or three pumps of this serum on wet hair before blow-drying for super smooth, undamaged hair. The extra moisture in the serum gets absorbed instead of taking out the moisture from your hair and leaving it dry!

Bed Head After Party: Once your hair is dry, use a tiny pump of this throughout your hair to remove frizz and ensure a party-approved night!

I've never actually used any Mac products, mainly cause they seem so expensive, and I'm generally broke poor, but I'd like to try them some day, maybe!

Love Burts Bees. :)

Thanks for your sweet comment, by the way, happy to hear you like my blog! <3

i always get complimented on my hair and everytime i go to the hairdresser they always ask what shampoo i use and try to guess.. and always name these salon brands... and when i tell them i use pantene they're like disgusted. hahha. they tell me it's bad for my hair and blah blah blah... but im a loyal pantene buyer. i dont think i'll ever switch to anything else.
